Natural Remedies or Home Remedies

Watch and listen for your body’s cues.

To better determine which holistic remedy to choose is through listening to your body’s signals. Every person has different body needs and responds to medications quite differently. All remedies may not work in the same manner for every person. It is very much an individual care. Always be careful when using a certain medicine since this may require a trial and error finding to what will work best for every individual.

You must be aware and conscious, learn to read what your body cues or alerts you then try to listen and analyze what its message implies, just like doing some detective task.  Pay attention to the details of your body’s response to certain remedy from the discovery and after medication. Sometimes this will involve one’s intuition and gut feelings.

What is healing crisis?

Healing crises as known in holistic remedy, is a period of time wherein after starting to use a particular remedy or method, there occurs a gradual worsening of the symptoms and condition but will eventually get better.  Many holistic practitioners explain that this is a natural phenomenon necessary on treatment process.

Some people may experience a severe healing crisis that makes them unable to function, this is an event where a person is detoxifying or healing quickly. To appease and remedy this issue, you must decrease the method of treatment until it abates/lessens to some degree.

Sometimes it may occur that detoxifying or quick healing may put too much pressure on the organs, such as the liver and kidneys. If this happens, your organs may not be healthy enough to handle and eliminate toxins. This type of healing process may be dangerous for someone with serious health conditions. So, it’s really important to use caution and gauge the progress carefully.

It would be necessary to always check and listen to the tune of body’s function and respond to reaction accordingly. If cutting back on the remedy used does not lessen the symptoms, this remedy must be stopped. Find another that would be less powerful to the body and not cause damage. If no results show a particular holistic remedy, the choice must be ineffective to the body’s condition and must try something else.

Therefore, to conclude, holistic remedies are effective health care alternative with broader choice of options than traditional medicines and without the risks of associated prescription drugs. Although they are natural and alternative, each of them carries their own limitations and risks that must not be taken for granted. They would be carefully weigh-out and taken into consideration, decisions must not be made lightly and should be carefully investigated if needs arise.
