Facial Masks Recipes

Here are some few and useful facial mask recipes you can make for yourself and utilize at the comfort of your own homes.

*Refreshing masks

Tomato Facial Masks- Great for normal skin types.  Cut a small sized raw tomato into halves and rub both on you face in a circular motion, when the packs have dried, rinse your face and use toner or moisturizer for more refreshing feel.

Peachy Honey Mask-Works magically with a great taste, to make, mash a large skinned peach and 3 teaspoon honey together, add 2 tablespoon of yogurt to make a paste. Place this mixture unto you face, pat evenly on your face and neck and around the eyes. Relax for 10 minutes, you can lie back or recline while waiting. Then rinse your face and neck with warm water and use toner and moisturizer for a great cleanse feel.

Cucumber facial Mask- This one is perfect for all skin types, apply weekly for best results. To create this recipe, place 1 cup of oats and 1 tablespoon wheat brain in blender and grind to make a fine powder. Add 2 tablespoon of buttermilk, 2 tablespoon of whipping cream, 1.5 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, 1teaspoon fresh mint leaves, and ½ medium dried cucumbers. Blend consistently until smooth. Apply this to freshly cleansed face and leave for about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then you can tone and moisturize.

*Exfoliating Masks

Exfoliating Oatmeal Mask- This Is wonderful for sloughing off dried skin. Mix ¾ cup dry oatmeal with approximately 1/3 cup warm water into a paste and spread on your face. Lie down and let the concoction dry. Wash with warm water, then tone and moisturize.

Cornmeals Facial Wash- Mix ½ cup cornmeal, add 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon honey, ½ teaspoon baking soda, and 2 tablespoon milk. Then gently apply while massaging on face, avoid eye areas, let dry and wash using warm water.

Nutty Avocado Honey Mask- Mash and mix 1 ripe avocado with ½ teaspoon honey add almonds to the mixture and continue to mash until creamy. Apply the mixture unto clean face and leave on face for 15-20 minutes while relaxing or reclining. Massage gently to exfoliate before rinsing with warm water.

*Hydrating Masks

Banana Facial Pack- Lovely and soothing masks that smells scrumptious. Combine 1 egg yolk, 2 teaspoon of almond oil, and 1 ripe banana in a bowl, mash into paste using a fork, mix well. Apply unto face and neck to leave for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water, pat dry to tone and moisturize afterwards.

Egg and honey hydrating mask- this mask is wonderful for refining and smoothing scaly skin. To make this mask, mix together 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg yolk, ½ teaspoon almond oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt. Massage very well into skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse well with cool water, tone and moisturize.

Moisturizing Beer Mask- Combine 1 tablespoon of beer with 1 heaped teaspoon of plain yogurt, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon lemon extract, and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Mix in low speed for 30 seconds. Wet face with warm water and apply mixture evenly. Leave on face for 15 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water, then splash with cold water. Tone and moisturize if needed.

*Mask for Oily/Sebum Skin

Avocado and Mud Mask- To give oily skin the slip, try this sebum-absorbing clay mask. Mix 1 tablespoon dry clay with 1 egg yolk, ¼ mashed avocado and enough witch hazel to create a smooth mixture. Apply to the face-avoiding eye are and let it completely dry. Rinse well using warm water, pat dry, use toner or and moisturizer if needed.

Sebum-reducing Soy Facial Mask- This mask is excellent for spotty or oily skin. Mix 2 tablespoon of strained soy bean curd with ½ teaspoon lemon juice in a blender for 30 seconds. Massage paste into the skin and let dry completely. Rinse well with cool water, tone and moisturize after.
