There are several dental health warnings that we should be wary of in this times and days where several health problems and diseases cannot be fathomed. The increase in symptoms and conditions where many are becoming susceptible has come of age where viral illnesses and diseases themselves are getting more severe , more immune to the medicines or prescription we’ve been taking.
Several studies showed the linkage of our oral health to our health in general. As Anthony Iacopino said and I quote "What we see in the mouth can have a significant effect on other organ systems and processes in the body. And the reverse is also true: Things that are going on systemically in the body can manifest in the mouth."
Here are several signs and common oral problems that we must be attuned with as well as be cautioned with:
- Sores that won’t seem to go away maybe a sign of Oral Cancer
People tend to bite or chew their mouth on the insides because of nervousness or pressure causing some sores, but if an open sore appears that doesn’t go away or persists to continue by a week or more, be wary and go to the nearest dental or oral clinic or doctor.
Suspicious oral ulcers would tend to raise sores and often have red or white borders. You will find them underneath your tongue where you can‘t hardly see or may need to consult to doctor or a dentist. Numbness and bleeding in your mouth, teeth or gums or just the sore that doesn’t seem to go away maybe a sign or symptom of oral cancer.
Ask for medical advice- a visual check-up or biopsy might be needed.
- Teeth that appears to be crumbling or cracking maybe a sign of GERD(Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease)
This ideally often happens and seen on older adults, who are much vulnerable to teeth that appears to be cracking or crumbling out. Teeth disintegration are usually caused by acid coming up from the stomach. GERD is the culpable symptom- this causes the stomach acid to come back over to the esophagus and shortly directs to the mouth that causes some of the acid to damage the mouth.
This chronic disorder is caused by the changes or damages in the natural barriers between the stomach and the esophagus. Dry mouth or heartburn are also related to GERD.
If you see signs of cracking or chipping of teeth among younger people, this might be a telltale signs of Bulimia-which is an eating disorder that also causes the teeth enamel to dislodge or disintegrate over time.
- When gums are growing over teeth, this may be a sign that you undergo medication problems.
Once you notice that your gums are growing over your tooth and that you are taking medications for heart disease, seizures, or taking drugs to suppress your immune system it will be worth to be able to take a curious look into the development of your doctor’s prescriptions.
Swelling of gum growth over the teeth is a sign of dosage or medication that needs to be adjusted says Anthony Iacopino. There are certain drugs that can stimulate the growth of gum tissues which makes it hard for to brush or floss in event could even lead to tooth decays and periodontal disease.
Completely right. I agree with you, if someone have this problem they must go to the dentist because they need medicine for that.
